Biography
William R. Van Order was born in Michigan and came west to Southern California in the early sixties. He grew up in Orange County, California. Mr. Van Order received his
undergraduate education at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. Mr. Van Order then moved back to Orange County and attended Whittier College School of Law where he received his law degree.
After passing the bar exam, Mr. Van Order was admitted to the State Bar of California in January of 1986. Mr. Van Order then relocated to the Inland Empire area where he began working for a law firm in Riverside, California. In April of 1987, William R. Van Order opened his own practice in Moreno Valley, California. In November of 1987, he expanded his practice to Hemet, California.
Education
William R. Van Order has been practicing law in California since 1986. He graduated from Whittier College - School of Law in May of 1985. He received the degree of Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude in Philosophy and Political Science in May of 1982 at Carroll College in Helena, Montana.
William R. Van Order passed the California State Bar exam in July of 1985. In January of 1986, Mr. Van Order was sworn in as an Attorney to practice law in the State of California. Also in January of 1986, Mr. Van Order was sworn in to practice in the local Federal Courts.
Experience
After moving to the Inland Empire area, Mr. Van Order began working for a law firm in Riverside, California. This firm practiced real estate, business law, personal injury and various other fields of law.
In April of 1987, William R. Van Order opened his own practice in Moreno Valley, California with an emphasis on representing injured accident victims. In November of 1987 the practice was expanded to serve the community of Hemet, California.
Upon opening his practice in 1987, Mr. Van Order continued to practiced various fields of law such as Personal Injury, Real Estate, Estate Planning and Business Law. However, since 1990, the office has almost exclusively represented injury victims seeking a recovery from the wrongful acts of another and/or their insurance company.
William R. Van Order is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, an organization dedicated to the rights of injured people, safety and responsibility, the right to a jury trial and the promotion of the administration of justice. Mr. Van Order is also listed on the roster for Riverside Superior Court to serve as an Arbitrator on Civil matters before the court.
The Hemet office has served as the "home" office since 1987 and is located at the base of the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains. The present office staff includes a paralegal/office manager, an associate attorney, and two receptionist/office clerks. The staff is very personal, knowledgable and highly qualified to give clients the best representation possible.
Gabrielle Ford has been with the Law Offices of William R. Van Order, P.C. since 1989. She began as the receptionist and is now the paralegal and law firm administrator. She possesses a Bachelor of Science in Administration (with Honors) from California State University, San Bernardino, a Certificate in Legal Assistantship from the University of California, Riverside, and an Associates degree from Mt. San Jacinto Community College, San Jacinto, California. As a paralegal, Gabrielle assists Mr. Van Order in litigation and legal research. As the law firm administrator, Gabrielle handles the majority of all duties of managing a busy law firm. When not working, Gabrielle enjoys musicals and concerts.
